Sea Wall Solutions
Water resistant, NSL8 is a proven application as a sea wall joint seal. The coating is currently contracted by the New Orleans Levee Board along Lake Pontchartrain in Louisiana. It has been 10 years since first application in parts of the wall and NSL8 continues to strengthen miles of sea wall and protect the city from environmental damage.

The achilles heel to the entire sea wall is the expansion joint. If a joint or seam fails, then water rushes through it, picking up dirt and debris, ultimately --- damaging the seawall. Maintaining the seams is a fraction of the cost of full wall maintenance or repair if breakdowns start to occur.
The NSL8 Solution
Durability is the key and NSL8 delivers. It’s been ten years since its first installation in the Lake Pontchartrain sea wall and it continues to survive with no detectable erosion or soil intrusion. NSL8 survived 30 foot Hurricane Katrina storm surge and according to New Orleans Levee board officials, it has outperformed all other competing materials installed in the wall. Thermal Mitigation Technologies experts believe it will hold for another ten years.

NSL8 has survived three significant hurricanes including Issac most recently in 2012
